Video Demo
From a web page to one ZIP file of full-size pictures and videos.
Everything on the page, at full size
No right-clicking one picture at a time, and no blurry thumbnails.
Every image
Pictures in the page, background images, gallery links and the ones that only load as you scroll.
The biggest size
Page Saver swaps thumbnails for the original where the site allows it, then checks the sizes and keeps the bigger copy.
Videos too
Normal video files come down as they are, in the best quality the page offers.
Streams joined up
Many sites send video in small pieces. Page Saver collects the pieces for the top quality and joins them into one MP4, with the sound.
You choose what goes in
A preview grid shows everything first. Switch between images and videos and untick anything you don’t want.
Save one video
Every video has its own Save button, for when you only want that one.
Duplicates taken out
The same picture at two sizes is spotted, and only the biggest copy is kept.
One tidy ZIP
Images and videos in their own folders, in a single download.
Nothing in between
Files come straight from the website to your computer. No uploads, no queue, no website in the middle.
How to install it
About a minute, and you only do it once. Store listings for Edge and Firefox are on the way.
Download and unzip
Download the ZIP and unzip it somewhere you will keep it, such as Documents. The browser runs the extension from that folder, so leave it there.
Open your extensions page
Type chrome://extensions in the address bar. In Edge use edge://extensions, in Brave brave://extensions.
Switch on Developer mode
The switch is top right in Chrome and Brave, and bottom left in Edge. It just lets you add an extension from a folder.
Load unpacked
Click Load unpacked and pick the page-saver folder. Then pin the Page Saver icon from the puzzle piece menu.
On Firefox, download the Firefox version, open about:debugging, choose This Firefox, then Load Temporary Add-on and pick the ZIP. Firefox removes temporary add-ons when it closes, so the Firefox Add-ons listing will be the easier option once it is approved.
See it in action
Every step, exactly as it looks in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Page Saver really free?
Yes. There is no Pro version, no ads, no limit on how much you save and nothing to sign up for. It is open source under the GPL-3.0, so you can read every line of it on GitHub.
Does Page Saver collect any of my data?
No. Everything happens inside your own browser. Page Saver reads the page you click it on, notes the videos that tab loads, and downloads the files straight from the website’s own servers. There is no account, no analytics and nothing is sent anywhere else.
How does it get the full-size picture?
Many sites show a small copy of each picture and keep the original at a slightly different address. Page Saver knows how WordPress, Shopify, Wikipedia, the BBC, Pinterest, X, Google, Amazon, eBay, Etsy and most image servers do this, tries the original, and keeps whichever copy is bigger.
Which videos can it save?
Normal video files (MP4, WebM and MOV), and streamed video in the HLS and DASH formats, which is how most sites play video today. Streams are downloaded at the best quality and joined into one MP4 with the sound. Start the video playing for a moment first so the page loads it.
Why can’t it save some videos?
Videos protected against copying, such as Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video, are encrypted and are skipped, as are live broadcasts. YouTube is not supported.
Does it work on Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest?
It saves what is on the page you have open. To save a whole profile or board in one go, use our dedicated extensions: Grid Saver for Instagram, Clip Saver for TikTok and Board Saver for Pinterest.
Does it work on Firefox?
Yes. Download the Firefox version from this page. A Firefox Add-ons listing is in review and will make installing it permanent.
Can I use the pictures and videos however I like?
They still belong to the people who made them. Page Saver is ideal for your own content, or content you have permission to use, but you need the owner’s permission before reposting anyone else’s work.
