This policy covers the Board Saver for Pinterest browser extension, made by TechyGeeksHome.
What Board Saver collects
Nothing. Board Saver does not collect, store, sell or share any personal information. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.
How it works
- It only runs when you click its icon on a Pinterest board.
- It reads the list of pins on that board from Pinterest, using your existing Pinterest session in your browser, and downloads the images from Pinterest’s image servers.
- All processing, including duplicate detection and building the ZIP file, happens on your own computer, inside your browser.
- Nothing is sent to TechyGeeksHome or to any other third party.
What is stored on your computer
Board Saver saves your filter settings (minimum size, duplicate removal, video and CSV options) and, for up to a day, the list of pins from your most recent scan so the results tab can show them. This stays in your browser’s local extension storage and is never transmitted anywhere. Removing the extension deletes it.
Permissions
- activeTab and scripting: to read the Pinterest board you have open, only when you click the icon.
- Access to pinterest.com and pinimg.com: to read the board and download its images.
- downloads: to save the ZIP file to your computer.
- storage and unlimitedStorage: to keep your settings and the current scan locally, including on very large boards.
