Black Friday 2026 lands on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Deals usually start creeping in a week or two before. This is the tech we would actually buy if the price drops, picked from the kit we use and recommend in our Windows and networking guides.
We are not listing made-up “was/now” prices. Prices move by the hour on Black Friday, so each link goes straight to the live Amazon page where you can see today’s price. If it is cheaper than the last 30 days, that is your deal.
Storage: the easiest upgrade to justify
Crucial P310 1TB NVMe SSD: If your PC still boots from a hard drive or an old SATA SSD, this is the single biggest speed-up you can buy. Fast, cheap per gigabyte, and it fits any M.2 2280 slot.
Samsung T7 1TB portable SSD: Small enough for a pocket, quick enough to run backups in minutes rather than an hour. We use one for Windows install media and image backups.
Synology DS225+ 2-bay NAS: For anyone who wants proper backups at home. Pair it with two NAS drives and you have mirrored storage that backs up every PC in the house.
Networking: fix the Wi-Fi once and for all
TP-Link Deco X50 mesh Wi-Fi (3-pack): Most ‘my internet is slow’ problems are really ‘my router is in the wrong room’. A mesh kit fixes dead spots without running cables.
TP-Link TL-SG108S 8-port gigabit switch: Cheap, silent and reliable. Wire the desktop, console and TV in one spot and take them off the Wi-Fi.
Klein Tools network cable tester: If you ever crimp your own cables or chase a flaky wall socket, this saves an afternoon of guessing.
Desk and work-from-home kit
Logitech MX Master 3S mouse: The mouse most IT people end up with. Quiet clicks, a scroll wheel that flies through long logs, and it works across two PCs.
Logitech MX Keys S keyboard: Low, quiet and backlit. Pairs with three devices, so one keyboard does the work laptop and the home PC.
Anker 8-in-1 USB-C docking station: One cable from the laptop to two monitors, network and USB. Worth it if you plug in and out every day.
Dell UltraSharp 27in QHD monitor: Sharp text, good colours and a stand that actually adjusts. A big step up from a basic 1080p screen.
Building or upgrading a PC
Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 RAM: 32GB is the sweet spot for a modern Windows 11 build. Enough for gaming, browsers and a VM or two.
Corsair RM750e power supply: Fully modular and quiet. The one part you should never cheap out on, because a bad PSU can take other parts with it.
Streaming and the living room
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max: Always one of the most heavily discounted items on the day. Fast, Wi-Fi 6 and good enough for most TVs.
Google TV Streamer 4K: The better pick if you live in Google’s world and want something that sits behind the TV and stays out of the way.
Raspberry Pi projects
Raspberry Pi 5 Active Cooler: A must if your Pi 5 does anything heavier than sit there. Stops it throttling under load.
Samsung EVO Select microSD card: Cheap Pi cards fail. A decent card is the difference between a Pi that runs for years and one that corrupts in a month.
How to tell a real Black Friday deal from a fake one
- Check the price history. A “deal” that matches the price from three weeks ago is not a deal.
- Compare the exact model. Bundles and “special editions” are often made just for the sale so you cannot compare them.
- Watch for “Lightning Deals”. They are real, but they sell out fast and the price comes back the next day.
- For storage and RAM, the price per gigabyte matters more than the percentage off.
