Money is one of the biggest troubles of students today. In the midst of all that studying and the fact that you have to write an assignment on almost a daily basis, you have money to worry about. Education is very expensive, not to mention that you have to juggle rent, food, clothing, book expenses, as well as your extracurricular activities costs all at the same time. This can be extremely stressful, especially if you took a loan to cover your studies.

Fortunately, there are ways to make some money while studying to cover these expenses and maybe even – pay off a portion of that big student loan. Thanks to technology, many options are now available online. To do this, all you need is some time, a good internet connection, and a bit of creativity.

1.   Filling Out Surveys

Surveys are a very popular way of earning some extra cash on the side. Companies from all around the world are trying to research opinions in terms of their brands, products, and services. Scientists and researchers tend to publish surveys aimed toward a specific audience. It gives them wider access than they ever had for research, and it gives you an amazing opportunity to earn some money online.

This is so popular, there are now over a hundred different survey sites that really pay off. If you have a bit of free time on your hands, start filling out questionnaires. This may not earn you thousands per month, but a single questionnaire can cost up to $3, maybe even more.

2.   Write Reviews

If you’re more interested in doing some writing, you can always open review sites and comment on some products and services. You’ll be making money by telling people what you think about a product.

This may be tough at first since writing reviews is not like learning how to write an assignment. It’s more like writing a report, so if you’ve mastered how to write a report type assignment, you can use that skill to learn to write reviews. Once you get the hang of this, you can even turn it into a career – a freelance review writer. This is a sure way toward a solid income by writing reviews for companies that require it.

3.   Write eBooks

For those whose writing skills are really developed, there’s one great way to earn some cash on the side – write and sell e-books. Publishing an actual, long book takes time and comes with hefty expenses, but publishing an eBook on sites like Amazon comes at almost no cost at all. If you’re good at what you’re doing, you’ll earn 70% of any sale you make on Amazon.

4.   Freelance

With websites like Freelancer, Fiverr, and Upwork, you can find an endless list of part-time tasks to do on your computer. You can design websites, write blog posts, edit written content, do some programming, data entry, and whatnot.

Go through the ads on these sites and use your skills and creativity to land some part-time gigs. Once you establish a reputation there, it will be much easier to find a new source of income. In the beginning, this will require some patience and a lot of time. If you’re struggling with finding the time for a high-paying task, reach out to some writing services and get answers for questions like ‘how to get an assignment done?’ or ‘how to present my assignment?’ while you earn some money on the side.

5.   Sell Your Notebooks

You’d be amazed to learn how many students buy notes online. The ones who didn’t attend classes, didn’t take notes, or simply can’t organize their own notes, often go online searching for some other student’s notes and tips.

If you do this, you can help out the fellow students and earn some cash in the same time. See what the price of notes is online and post your notes for everyone to buy. You’ve paid a lot of attention in lectures, so why not use this to earn some money as a reward?

6.   Sell School Books

When the school year is finished or you no longer need a book, why leave it in a box to gather dust? Books are often expensive and there’ll be many students who choose to buy second-hand to save some money.

To do this, try to maintain the books in a good condition while using them – this should earn you more money when you sell them.

7.   Tutor Other Students

You don’t have to study to be a teacher or get a degree to earn money by teaching others. If you’ve mastered a course better than others, use this to your benefit. Post ads where you offer tutoring services to students in the years below you. This will allow you to earn money while you’re teaching parts of the course you already covered. It’s also a great way to boost your knowledge one more time, that’s for sure.

Conclusion

Have you decided what you will do to earn some money on the side? Test different things and see what works best for you. One of these ideas might just turn into your way to pay off those student loans ahead of time.
