The U.S. supplement industry continues to charge ahead. Currently valued in the US at more than $30 billion, the industry is growing at the high rate of over 7 percent. This has caused many new companies to enter into the market. But few of those are as formidable and as strongly infused with the use of rigorous science than Elysium Health.

Founded by the MIT biologist and professor Dr. Leonard Guarente, Elysium Health set out to be a new kind of nutritional supplement business from the start. Guarente had the vision of creating a nutritional consumer health company that would adhere to strict standards for quality, purity, and scientific rigor.

Elysium Health has a growing team of scientists, innovators, and creatives who care deeply about health. Directing the vision of the company is Eric Marcotulli. Before joining Elysium, Eric worked at Sequoia Capital. As an undergraduate, Eric studied at Princeton, after which he earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School. Dan Alminana, the COO of the company, is in charge of the operational and financial elements of Elysium Health. Before, Dan worked as Vice President in JP Morgan’s Venture Capital coverage group in Silicon Valley.

Elysium Health currently makes a supplement called Basis, which is based on 25 years of aging research. Basis works to increase levels of NAD+ in our bodies. NAD+ is essential to maintaining DNA health, the creation of energy, and the regulation of circadian rhythms, as well as hundreds of other cellular functions. Our levels of NAD+ decline naturally as we age. By taking Basis, you can increase those levels and support your cellular health.

Basis allows you to take it while on a diet, or if you have any dietary allergies, because the supplement is vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and free of any artificial flavors and colors.

To purchase Basis, visit Elysium Health’s website. The company offers Basis in a variety of subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions start at $50 per month. Prepaying for a longer subscription decreases the cost per month to $45 ($270 for six months) or $40 dollars ($480 for twelve months) per month.

Partnering with a tech company, Elysium Health has put Basis for sale in the stores of the retailer b8ta. Pick up a jar of Basis while discovering other unique products at one of b8ta’s locations now until the end of June.
