Windows 10 1903 Rsat Installation

The Windows 1903 upgrade has now been released however, yet again, RSAT has not been included in the upgrade.

So it comes as a bit of a shock when you update your Windows version to the latest and then do not have Group Policy, DNS and Active Directory Users and Computers available.

For some reason, its no longer in the Windows Features either…unless I’m missing something!

However, the internet as usual has a solution!

Martin Bengtsson has released a PowerShell script that will re-enable RSAT with a few simple steps.

Grab the PS1 file from here:

https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/Install-RSAT-for-Windows-75f5f92f

Copy it locally (lets say C:TGH) and run this command from an elevated PowerShell prompt within that local directory:

.Install-RSATv1809v1903.ps1 -All

You may get a Security Warning show up, just press Y to continue. This will then go through the install process. Reboot your device and you should now see that you have all the RSAT tools back again!

Windows Sandbox

Exciting news, Windows 1903 has the new release of Windows Sandbox. This can be enabled via the Windows Features in the Control Panel.

We have not tested this out yet but we have been waiting for this for a long time – we will post about this once we have had a play with it.
