Modern technology has influenced all aspects of our lives, and the healthcare system is no exception. The biggest development is possible thanks to The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), encompassing a wide range of devices, including wearable sensors, remote monitoring devices, implantable devices, mobile health applications, and other healthcare-related equipment. How has IoMT transformed healthcare and can it improve patient care and monitoring?

How does IoMT work?

IoMO or The Internet of Medical Things encompasses a wide range of devices, including wearable sensors, remote monitoring devices, implantable devices, mobile health applications, and other healthcare-related equipment. By connecting these devices and systems, IoMT enables the collection, analysis, and sharing of real-time healthcare data, leading to improved patient care and monitoring.

It’s a great tool for the remote monitoring of patients, managing health conditions and tracking different people or even things in hospitals, thanks to a network of smart devices and connected sensors. The IoMT development was a great aid in the reduction of strain on physicians.

Wireless headband to improve focus skills

The modern world is not a place where it is easy to focus and concentrate, so any tool able to aid us is of great value. The development of wireless headbands, initially used by Formula 1 drivers, Olympic weightlifters, or physical therapists, is now available to anyone interested.

In the beginning, the games used to practice concentration were basic, to be then developed into more complex ones, with advanced mechanics and graphics.

The headband is an impressive combination of a wearable connected via Bluetooth to an iOS and Android app, with the game running seamlessly inside the app.

A life-saving smartwatch

The rescuers need constant training, and update of their knowledge. As CPR training is quite expensive, and also considered to be ineffective and inconvenient, a solution needed to be found. Technology and broad-minded engineers came up with an idea in the form of a wearable, controlled by software that aids in the improvement of the effectiveness of CPR rescuers give.

As a result of the collaboration of mighty companies a smartwatch is capable of helping the rescue team to save lives by giving them real-time feedback on their activities during cardiac arrest occurrence.

Mind your posture

Is your lifestyle sedentary and you already suffer from neck and back pain? Do you mind your posture when sitting at your desk for 8 hours? Our headaches can be caused by incorrect posture too. Even though we know we should definitely take care of posture, it doesn’t stop us from keeping it poor from time to time.

The solution is technology again in the form of applications and sensors placed in the chair seat and backrest, using a Bluetooth module to inform the user about the incorrect position on the chair. To avoid distracting notifications sent to the user’s phone, there are also vibration modules in the chair seat and backrest.
