We are pleased to announce the release of the Shoretel Batch WAV Converter v2.
There have been some improvements to make it more user friendly and to have a much better folder structure. We are working on v3 already which will have a GUI front end so it will be even easier to use and batch convert files, we are hoping to release this in the next month so if you have any suggestions for it please leave a moment on this post.
We have also been asked to write up some instructions on how to use this tool correctly so below is a full guide on what to do.

INSTRUCTIONS
Extract the zip file to a location of your choice and go into the “Batch WAV Converter for Shoretel v2” folder:
As you can now see, there is a folder called “Originals”. You should copy the WAV files that you want to convert into this folder (do not create sub folders in this folder or the convert will fail). You should then have all your WAV files in the originals folder ready for the conversion:
Now browse back to the “Batch WAV Converter for ShoreTel v2” folder, you should then double click the “run.bat” file which will start the process.
Press any key to continue…
The conversion process has now completed and you should notice that you now have a folder called “Shoretel Converted WAVs”
If you go into this folder, you will see all the newly converted WAV files:
To confirm the correct conversion has taken place, right click on a WAV file and go into Properties and then click on the Details tab. You will then notice that the Bit Rate has changed to the Shoretel format of 64kbps:
If you have any problems with this process, please leave a comment on this post and we’ll help you out as soon as we can.
Version 4.4 of our Shoretel WAV conversation software has now been released and can be found here:

I’m unable to run the bat file. I get the following message:
sox.exe – Application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142).
I uninstalled and reinstalled the zip file as sent from Juan Torres Network Engineer Verrteks Consulting. The run file does create the Shoretel Converted WAVs folder, but that’s it.
