If you want to report on the number of machines per manufacturer that you have within your Configuration Manager environment then you can run this query directly on your SQL database or you can use it to create a report within SSRS.

How to create a Configuration Manager Report using SSRS

The query is below and can be altered to fit your own needs by adding columns and tables if or where required.

SELECT
 CS.Manufacturer0 AS Manufacturer,
 COUNT(CS.Manufacturer0) AS Count
 FROM
 v_FullCollectionMembership AS FCM
 INNER JOIN
 v_GS_COMPUTER_SYSTEM CS
  ON FCM.ResourceID = CS.ResourceID
 WHERE
 (FCM.CollectionID = 'SMS00001')
 GROUP BY v_GS_COMPUTER_SYSTEM.Manufacturer0

Remember to change the CollectionID ‘SMS00001’ to whatever your “All Devices” collection is called or alternative collection that you want to use.
