If you are deploying Microsoft Office 2013 then you will have used the Microsoft Office Customization Tool (OCT) to tell your installer what parts of Office to actually install.

So what if you have setup your installer to carry out the standard Word and Excel installs but you also want Skype for Business (or Lync as its known in Office 2013) and OneDrive for Business to be installed. You have set the options to install these problems but they never seem to install.

This will be because the version of OCT that you are using is not up to date and you need to get hold of the latest version.

To do this, you can download the latest version from the link below:

Download Microsoft Office Customization Tool

Once downloaded, run the exe file to extract the correct x86 or x64 version of office and copy the entire Admin folder into the folder that contains the installation image you are customizing.

Recreate your install.msp file and redistribute your deployments. You should now find that when you carry out your next deployment, Skype for Business and OneDrive for Business are both fully installed.
